Bed of Flowers

This shoot was a bit chaotic, but really quite simple. I had my subject Paige lie down with a little support under her head and we played with where to place her arms and how to lay her legs so that she would look elegant and comfortable.

We started out with a white cloth in front of a window, I had Paige lay down and then I simply placed flowers all around her. This look could be done with different types of flowers. Having a flower that has a meaning directly connected to the subject would make this style of image much more special for my client. This time, I just used the flowers I had. If you look closely you’ll find a variety of different flowers. It was more important for this shoot to stick with a similar color tone with pops of pink and purple than the flowers being the same type.

I could see a mother cuddling a daughter, a pregnant mother, just a lovely woman showing more of her body, but looking simply elegant in flowers, this style of shoot would look really lovely with so many different types of sessions. I think the flowers add this beauty and elegance and a kind of a whimsical feel with not a lot of effort.

I can see this style of image on the wall of every little girl out there.

Imagine having a beautiful image of you and your mom in flowers on your wall. What a beautiful legacy this would create.

I would love to hear what you think! Can you see yourself being photographed this way? What is your favorite flower? Tell me in the comments below, how you would recreate this look.
