When it comes to showing off the curves of bodies, I love posing my clients on the wall. Sometimes we feel a little awkward when we’re trying to look sexy and then we’re wondering, “What do I do with my hands?!” That’s why I love posing my clients on the wall. The wall gives us something to lean on and sets the mood. Leaning on something really accentuates our curves. We can create shapes with all bodies on the wall. My clients don’t have to think too long about what to do. I like to show my clients how to do the pose first, then I talk them through adjustments, and then I give instructions to run hands along the outer sides of the body, touching the wall, and of course; putting hands into the hair. For these images, I used a remote clicker (you can see the clicker in the third image in the gallery below). This is even easier when I can directly see how the pose looks and adjust before even taking a picture. When I’m taking self-portraits, I don’t even know what the pose looks like until I take a shot, so it’s a slow process. Whether you’re encouraged to do your own photo session as a gift for your special someone or as a gift to yourself, this experience can be really empowering. It hasn’t always been easy for me to appreciate pictures of myself and I still sometimes struggle with it, but seeing myself and especially my body in pictures has really helped me to move closer to loving myself and embracing the body I travel this universe in.
