The Infinity Dress: Dress of Possibilities

The power of the Infinity Dress. This incredible dress is a stretchy XL and still fits even the

smallest body types. Moniquine the mannequin is a pretty square build that doesn’t do the best job at showing off how well this dress works with curves, but you work with what you have. Moniquine doesn’t talk back and is always available to show my studio dresses off.

This dress is stretchy and photographs well. I love how the simplicity of it draws attention to the person wearing it. I chose emerald green because I didn’t have a green dress in the studio and you can never go wrong with jewel tones. The fabric flows and is fun to wear.

With this dress, you get to decide where the waist will lay and whether you want more or less attention to the bust. Different shapes can distract from or highlight parts of the body. I love the cape sleeve version for drawing attention away from arms while the twisted cap sleeves cover shoulders but draw attention to collar bones. Asymmetrical designs add lines to compliment photographs while symmetrical shapes draw attention to the face.

Although I love all of the dress looks, I am really happy with the skirt version as well.

Because this dress is so simple, it is easily complimented with embellishments. I have a pair of peacock feather earrings in the studio that look good with them. Since it is a jewel tone, it also looks really good with metals. I love photographing this dress on the wheat-painted backdrop, but it also looks beautiful with bright white, or black paper.

On lighter color backdrops, flowers compliment this dress well. I can picture this dress going well with dried red roses, or tea-stained silk flowers.

This is truly the dress of options.
